School Application
American Homestay Services facilitates the school application process by collecting detailed admission requirements, shipping I-20 forms, handling visa distribution, and administering all required enrollment documents to the school while delivering all forms back to the student’s families.
Homestay and Family Placement
With a network of over 3000 homestay families, American Homestay Services place students with loving hosts best suited to caring for their specific needs. To properly maintain the homestay, we also employ local coordinators to mentor students and write reports detailing their adjustment and well-being.
School & Family Communication
We offer monitoring of student’s academic performance and attendance given student’s parents provide necessary access information. With regular communication with the school and host family, we are able to ensure everything goes smoothly and prevent major conflicts.
24 hour emergency contact
Contact information for American Homestay Services will also be provided to all schools where students have enrolled, empowering students and schools to contact us at any time necessary, 24/7.
Bilingual office staff
Because our homestay management team selects employees who were themselves international students in the past, all of the team members are bilingual, culturally sensitive, good communicators, and understanding of the unique challenges our students face.
Monthly visits and reports by local coordinators
A local coordinator will visit student monthly and write reports detailing his or her adjustment and well-being. Reports will be sent to the management team and to the student’s parents.
Family Orientation
AHS staff will train host families how to communicate with international students. We will introduce student’s eating habits, student’s codes. We will help families and students get to know each other as well as learn about their respective cultures.
Student Orientation
Before students come to the U.S, we will give orientations to students include cultural differences, school principles, American laws. We will tutor students how to get along well with host families, teachers and local coordinators.
